Swanley & North Downs Lions Club

Swanley & North Downs Lions Club serves Swanley & the North Downs villages to Wrotham. Founded in 1977, as Farningham & District Lions Club, it is part of Lions Clubs International, the World’s largest service organisation that originated in 1917 with 1.35 million members, of 46,000 Clubs, in 210 countries & geographical areas. Our motto is:

“We Serve”.

We are an open, non-political, non-religious organisation, where like minded people work together to serve their community. At the same time we enjoy ourselves, together with families & friends, at fund raising events & through a varied social programme.

We undertake welfare activities locally, nationally & internationally, & our club is one of those that raised the money to build your local Hospice, now the EllenorLions Hospice. We continue to raise funds to help support it & we run the Swanley shop every Saturday morning.

We meet on the second & fourth Wednesday of every month, in Swanley, & new members are welcomed from all walks of life, male or female, with no upper age limit. If you are able to give some of your time, & have a strong desire to help the less fortunate in our society, consider joining us.
